Let’s give a helping hand to the Arriola family.

My name is Nicole!
In the last few years, I’ve noticed an increase in employee disengagement in various businesses and organizations. I’ve been dreaming of ways to promote engagement among team members and facilitate meaningful opportunities for growth and development, both personally and professionally.
I’ve explored some ideas for building healthy workplace cultures and initiatives that lead to employee engagement, growth, and team camaraderie. I’ve shared my ideas with friends and loved ones, but was afraid of proposing them to business owners for fear of failure and criticism. I was recently reminded that I wouldn’t be where I am today without facing my fears and getting outside my comfort zone and that everyone has to start somewhere. In an effort to do just that, I’d like to share a dream and ask for support and encouragement in whatever form that takes.
I would love to provide for a single mom, named Yini, and her two children, who live in Roatan, Honduras a safe and strong place to live in.

Please, join me to make an impact in the lives of this beautiful family!

The Arriola Family

Yini is a single mom. She has 2 beautiful children: Esther is 7 years old; she is in 1st grade. Enoc is 4 years old. Yini’s parents are originally from the island of Roatan. Yini was born on the mainland, but a few months after she was born, her parents moved back to the island of Roatán. Yini is 40 years old. She grew up with both of her parents and her 5 siblings. Yini’s dad used to work as a fisherman when she was a little girl. Yini’s mom stayed at home, but also had a small convenience store at her house. Yini’s parents worked as hard as they could to feed and support their children. Yini attended school up to 12th grade. However, her biggest desire was to go to college. Unfortunately, Yini’s parents couldn’t afford to send her to high school. Yini decided to work and study at the same time, so she could get a college dregree as well. Yini worked at a restaurant as a waiter and studied at night. Yini was able to get a scholarship to go to Cuba to become a dentist. Once she graduated as a dentist. She decided to come back to the island of Roatan to help her people. She was able to work as a volunteer in different health centers, but still couldn't get a permanent job. A couple of years later, Yini decided to get married, but unfortunately, her marriage didn’t work out for long. Since she couldn’t get a job as a dentist, she started looking for different jobs. Yini was able to find a job as a teacher. She makes about $12 per day. She does everything she can to feed and to support her children. Yini is also the pastor of a small church. She also tries to help her community as much as she can. Yini is paying for a piece of land so she can someday build a secure and strong house for her and her children.

During her school break (3 months), she doesn’t get paid. So, she sells vegetables and fruits in a little stand to get as much income as she can to feed her children and to pay for her land monthly payments. She is able to survive with the income from her sales during her school break time. She also leads a children feeding ministry which is funded by the church’s offering. She loves helping and serving others. Let’s give this beautiful family a helping hand by building a safe and comfortable place for her and her beautiful children to live in. Thank you!
