Saidy and Wilson met about 5 years ago. They have 2 beautiful children: Danna is 9 years old; she is in 3rd grade and Abdiel is 2 years old. Saidy moved to Roatan about 6 years ago to live with her aunt and to look for a better job to give her son a better life and to support her mom as well. Saidy grew up with both parents. Unfortunately her parents separated when she was just 7 years old. Saidy had the opportunity to study up to 6th grade. Saidy’s parents worked at a Banana Company. Her dad worked in the maintenance department and her mom worked in the packing department. Saidy stopped studying because her mom couldn’t afford it. After Saidy’s parents separated, Saidy’s oldest brother stopped studying and started working selling vegetables to help his mom bring some extra income to the house. Saidy took her little sister to school with her, so she wouldn’t stay home alone. Wilson’s parents worked growing bananas, beans, corn and other crops. Wilson’s parents decided to move to Roatan to give their children a better life. Wilson started working at a supermarket as a bag packer when he was 14 years old. A couple of years later, he started working at the city hall in the maintenance department. Currently, Saidy stays at home taking care of their children and Wilson works at the airport in the landing area and in the maintenance department assisting others as well. Wilson makes around $20 per day. Wilson and Saidy are paying for a piece of land. They wish to give their children a better and more stable life than the one they had growing up. Let’s give this beautiful family a helping hand. Let’s provide a home for them.
