Nolvia is a single mom. She was married to her husband Mauricio for about 6 years. Unfortunately, he abandoned her and her 2 children about 1 year ago. Nolvia is 31 years old. She has 2 beautiful children: Sirey is 5 years old; she is in 1st grade. Axel is 3 years old. Nolvia finished her studies up to 12th grade. Nolvia started working when she was 15 years old. She worked during the day and studied at night. Nolvia’s dad abandoned his familywhen she was about to turn 16 years old. She used to work as a housekeeper for a family until she was able to finish her 12th grade. Once she graduated from high school, she wanted to earn more money, so she started working at a small convenience store doing different jobs such as displaying products on the shelves, housekeeper and as a cashier. A couple of years later, she got married and had her 1st baby. She wanted to make more money to help her husband with the house expenses. She started working as a housekeeper at a mall, work that she did for about 4 years. After she separated from her husband, she needed to make more money because her husband was not supporting her to feed her children. Currently, Nolvia works at a restaurant as a cook. She makes around $22 per day. Nolvia also takes care of her mom Martha; she is 59 years old and her younger brother Ronald; he is 15 years old. Both of them live with her. Ronald was just 3 months old when his dad left home. He has never received help from his dad, Nolvia has always taken care of any of his food/school expenses. Ronald is not only a good son and brother, but also a very hard working young man. After he finished his 6th grade, he wanted to help Nolvia with the house expenses, so he started working as a bag-packer at a supermarket. He has also worked as a construction helper and at a carpentry shop. He doesn’t have a permanent job, but he likes to work in anything he can so he can provide for his family. Nolvia and her family dream of having a secure and comfortable place to live in. They need our helping hand. Let’s build a home for this beautiful hardworking family!
