Godoy Family - Mountain Valley Team - March 2025 Build

Marisol is a single mother who met her boyfriend when she was 19 years old. She got pregnant, and when their son was only 7 months old, her boyfriend abandoned her. Marisol did not want her own story to repeat itself with her son; she wanted her son to grow up with a father. She was very much in love with him, but he met another woman and decided to start a new family with her. Marisol struggled with depression and anxiety for a year, and then she decided she needed to be strong for her son Mason. Currently Marisol works as an accounting assistant in a company called Roatan Provision. While she works, her mother helps her take care of Mason (5). Marisol will continue fighting to give Mason a good life, and she longs for a home for her and her son. Currently she is paying for her land, but she also rents and cannot afford to build a home.
Marisol is originally from San Pedro Sula. She moved with her mother to Roatan at the age of 6 because her grandmother got sick, and her mother had to take care of her. Marisol's mother raised her in a small grocery store that her mother and grandmother owned until her grandmother died. For Marisol it was a trauma to have lost her grandmother because they were quite close, but over time she learned to live with the absence of her grandmother. Marisol started working at the grocery store at her school when she was 16 to be able to pay her tuition; she worked from 6am preparing food at the grocery store until noon. Then she went home to shower and change to be at high school from 1pm to 6pm; in this way she managed to graduate from Accounting and Finance. She did her professional internship at Ana Caribe, the island's customs company, and there she worked with her skills in accounting. She decided to start paying for a plot of land in the community of Brass Hill. From a very early age she had a strong mentality and wanted her destiny to be different than her mother.
